ColorBlind
Release notes
What changed in each version of ColorBlind, newest first.
Updating: from 1.1.0 on, ColorBlind tells you when a new version is out. Click Get version … in the plugin window. On older versions, use the download link from your ColorBlind email. The installer replaces the version you have, and your projects keep their settings.
1.1.0
LatestNew
- ColorBlind lets you know when there's a new version. At most once a day, when you open the plugin window, it checks hrvguitar.com and shows a Get version … button if an update is out. It doesn't send anything about you or your music (privacy). To turn it off, click More and untick Check for updates.
Windows
- This is the first Windows update since 1.0.0, so it also brings the change from 1.0.1: your DAW lists ColorBlind under HRV Guitar.
1.0.1
Fixed
- 1.0.0 needed the newest macOS (macOS 27), so Logic and other hosts skipped it on older versions. ColorBlind now runs on macOS 11 Big Sur and later.
Changed
- Your DAW lists ColorBlind under HRV Guitar. Projects that already use it open as before.
1.0.0
First release
- A sequenced resonator for guitar. Hold a chord and it rings out a 32-step, two-bar pitch pattern, locked to your DAW's tempo and bar line or free-running at its own tempo.
- Resonance from a soft shimmer to a ring that barely decays, with hard, ramp or crossfade moves between pitches.
- Drive, tone and pan for the dry guitar only, so the resonator still hears it clean.
- A slow stereo flanger on the top end, with a Low Cut to keep the lows solid.
- Mac: AU, VST3 and a standalone app, for Apple Silicon and Intel. Windows: VST3, 64‑bit.
